Title I

Title I is a supplementary, federally funded educational program. The program is implemented in qualifying schools to provide an enriched and accelerated learning environment for students. Achievement of high academic standards is promoted through the services and resources provided by Title I funds. The goal of Title I is to enhance student success by providing a high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment.

Wadsworth will implement activities that will build the capacity for meaningful parent/family involvement. Other activities, such as the Family Reading & Resource Center will conduct to encourage and support parents and families in a more meaningful engagement in the education of their child(ren). [ESEA Section 1116]. Wadsworth will implement activities that will build relationships with the community to improve student achievement. The school will provide materials and training to assist parents/families to work with their child(ren).

Below are Wadsworth Family Engagement Events

  1. Publix Math Night October 2019: Parents and community members will be provided with standards-based materials and activities to work with their children at home. 

  2. STREAM Science December 2019: Night-Parents and community members will be provided with standards-based materials and activities to work with their children at home.

  3. ELA Curriculum Night January 2020: Parents and community members will be provided with standards-based materials and activities to work with their children at home. 

  4. Dr. Seuss Literacy Night March 2020: Parents and community members will be provided with standards-based games and activities to work with their children at home.
