Who should attend?

On June 16th, the Flagler County School Board voted to create the Flagler County STEM Academy at Wadsworth Elementary School. In its inception year, the school serviced two classes of sixth grade students. STEM Academy students recieve the required curriculum through lessons that are infused with project-based STEM activities. In order to accomplish this task, the school incorporates the latest in educational technology, a state of the art engineering lab, and participation in local and state STEM competitions. Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, the Acadmy will offer classes for 5th and 6th grade students!

STEM Academy student should be: 

- looking for a challenging academic environment.

- willing to participate in weekend STEM competitions.

- inquisitive and self-motivated to learn.

- currently achieving academic success in science and math.

-ready to have fun!

You can personally enroll your student at Wadsworth Elementary School on Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 4:00 and speak with the Registrar, Bob Ledek.

He can provide you with additional information, enrollment forms, and if time allows, tours are available.
